IEEC 2010: Action in Enterprise Education

Enterprise Educators UK and the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship, are holding the 5th IEEC Conference in Cardiff, Wales from 1-3 September 2010.

The event facilitates a sharing of experiences through hands on workshops, open exchanges as to what works and what doesn’t, plenaries and forums, often focusing on the practical experience of enterprise education, it breaks the mould of traditional conferences by transforming ‘thinking’ into ‘doing’. It brings together enterprise educators with enterprising students, entrepreneurs can challenge the University sector in open debate, decision-makers can hear of the developments in enterprise education – and the challenges for the future.

BAM - British Academy of Management

BAM2010 will take place at the University of Sheffield, Sheffield, UK from 14-16 September 2010 on the theme "Management Research in a Changing Climate".

NFEA - National Federation of Enterprise Agencies

The NFEA Annual Conference 2010 - “Riding the Wave - Business support in a new era” will take place on 15 September 2010 at The Belfry, Nottingham, UK.

UKSPA - United Kingdom Science Parks Association

The September UKSPA Members’ Meeting on 16-17 September 2010, is being hosted by NETPark, Durham with support from the Electronics KTN. The theme of the meeting is Innovation Connectors – examining how Science Parks can become more embedded in their locality for the benefit of all.

ISBC - 36th International Small Business Congress

The 36th International Small Business Congress will be held in Taipei, Taiwan from 4-7 October 2010 with the theme "Stride Across the Uncertain Age to New Opportunity and New Future".

The basic objective of ISBC is to assemble representatives from governments, businesses, academic communities and financial institutions to exchange views on small and medium-sized busines problems, policies and programs, as well as to provide business opportunities among participating SMEs.

ASBE - Association for Small Business & Entrepreneurship

The 36th ASBE Fall Conference will take place in Fort Worth, Texas from 6-8 October 2010.

ASBE is dedicated to fostering the ideals of small business and entrepreneurship, one of their top priorities is offering quality annual conferences while mindful of travel budget restrictions for our members.

FFI - Family Firm Institute

The Family Firm Institute Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois from 13-16 October 2010, will explore the challenges and opportunities presented to family enterprises during our current period of dynamic economic and social change. Have changes in contemporary societies and economies made working with and in family enterprises an entirely new “game”? Or, has the family business game remained more or less the same, while only the “rules” have changed?

CCSBE - Canadian Council for Small Business & Entrepreneurship

The 2010 CCSBE Annual Conference "Entrepreneurship and Community" will be held  in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on 28-30 October 2010.

ISBE - Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship

The 33rd Annual ISBE Conference will take place in London, UK from 3-4 November 2010. This year's theme is "Looking to the Future: Economic and Social Regeneration through Entrepreneurial Activity".

This year ISBE are introducing new tracks on Entrepreneurship in Minority Groups and Family Business.

RENT XXIV - Research in Entrepreneurship and Small Business (under Upcoming Events)

This year's RENT Conference will take place in Maastricht, The Netherlands from 18-19 November 2010 on the theme "The Entrepreneurial Process in a Changing Economy".

Organised by EIASM - The European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management and ECSB - The European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and hosted by Maastricht University.


IEF - 10th International Entrepreneurship Forum

USASBE - United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship

The 2011 USASBE Conference will take place at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA from 13-16 January 2011 with the theme "Entrepreneurship: Changing the Present, Creating the Future".

Abstract Deadline is 27th August 2010 with submissions invited on Entrepreneurship Education; Entrepreneurship Public Policy; Entrepreneurship Research; Entrepreneurship Outreach.

SBI - Small Business Institute 2011 Annual Conference

The Small Business Institute invites you to attend their 2011 Annual Conference in Bonita Springs, Florida, 17-19 February 2011.

The conference will focus on accounting and finance, ethics and environmental responsibility, experiential learning, family business, global entrepreneurship, marketing, social entrepreneurship, small business and women & minority business.

The deadline to submit papers is 17 September 2010. 

EMU - Eastern Mediterranean University

The Call for Papers for the 2nd International Conference on Small Business and Entrepreneurship have been published. The event will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus from 24-27 February 2011, jointly organised by the Eastern Mediterranean University, The European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and the Management Research Centre at Eastern Mediterranean University.

The Conference is for Researchers, Entrepreneurs, Consultants, Teachers, Policy makers and Doctoral Students.

ICEIRD - International Conference for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development

The 4th International Conference for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development, will take place between 5 - 7 May 2011 in Ohrid, Macedonia is organized under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Macedonia H.E. Dr. Gjorge Ivanov and under the patronage of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts.

The Conference title is “From Entrepreneurial Learning to Innovation and Regional Development”.  

The objective of the conference is to gather together decision makers (government, ministries and state agencies), innovation experts (universities, research and development centres, technology transfer centers, start-up centres) and practitioners (SMEs, business incubators and business support organisations) to generate discussion and exchange on the potential of entrepreneurship promotion and innovation to national and regional competitiveness.
